Cultural, Financial, and Mental Health Wellness Fest formerly known as The Cost of Caregving: Alzheimers & Caregivers FH Symposium is a Financial and Mental Health Wellness Festival that is designed to help individuals learn about the importance of financial and legal planning, explore nutritional options for better brain health, what resources are out there to help them prepare for the death of a loved one and those they leave behind. It also provides resources to job training, workforce development and more! You could call it a "mini job fair/health fair" with a hint of cultural diversity. Sometimes, attendees are pampered and enjoy a little “me time” with enjoying free food, yoga tips, and live entertainment. The theme for the event is "Change Your Mindset & Energy and You Will Unlock Your Dreams." This free event is something you do not want to miss!
There is not a day that goes by where Road to Economic Empowerment Enterprises does not hear heart moving stories from caregivers that are struggling to pay their own bills or their loved one's health care expenses. So often, people come up to me telling me they want to be a real estate agent, work with kids, or make boss moves like me. What they do not know, is making "boss moves" can be challenging and sometimes even lonely. Our membership system is under construction but it will include exclusive discounts to our events, books and classes. Also, members will get a free vision board worksheet, service coordination to startup, financial, legal, & mental health support organizations & affiliates.

My Story
The year 2020 was an eye opener for me. For years, I have dreamed of being a successful entrepreneur, while taking care of my parents. However, I did not expect to go into almost early retirement in 2020 when I unexpectedly lost my main job working with at risk youth. Throughout my life, I have undertaken various special projects such as hosting financial education seminars and coordinating a job fair. I am proud to say that those seminars not only helped the people that attended but it also catapulted me into a space that I love which is educating people. I was able to pay bills from my emergency savings account for almost a year before landing on my next assignment. I know it was nobody but God and the lessons I learned from past seminars which taught me the importance of financial literacy. Now, more than ever my vision is clear for 2022, which is to teach people how to raise the culture they live in and lead them to the road to economic empowerment through serving others.

Monthly Mental Health Wellness Check-in
Overview: There is an old adage that says "Every therapist needs a therapist." This applies to clergy, law enforcement, and for those that work in public service. It is unfortunate, that even today the topic of mental health wellness is seen as weak or carries a negative connotation. What many people do not know is self-care is mental health wellness. As a result, we hope to bring more balance for those that work in public service. More details coming soon. . . .
